Cairo Mama sparked an idea in the comments section of 5 Things, but I thought it'd be easier to do it here. She's going to be in Ohio in April...I've been wanting to meet some Lactivist readers anyway...who's within driving distance and up for a Saturday or Sunday BBQ in April? Maybe the 21-22 or 28-29? (I get back from NYC on the 13th Cairo Mama, so I think the 14th is out...)
If you're interested, drop me an email and we'll handle this off the blog. Don't want addresses and such floating around on here. :)

I can do either weekend. I promise not to bring tofu!
As long as no one there gets offended when my baby decides it's time to eat. (I will be "discreet and tasteful".) :-)
LOL. I think we could probably deal with it...you'll bring a nursing cover, right? ;)
I *might* be able to come. Wher in OH are you? I'm in WV. It would be neat to meet you & other readers:)
Central Ohio...near Columbus. We'd likely set it up as a picnic at one of the metro parks or by the lake...
Ok, I've just checked and it looks like there are at least a dozen different pavillions that I could rent for us at the MetroParks. Nearly all of them have modern bathrooms, playgrounds, wide open grass space and plenty of tables and chairs. They've also got enough cover that we'd be set even if it rains.
So as long as I can get about 15 moms plus their families to confirm that they'll come, I'm happy to cover the cost of the pavillion, paper products, drinks and stuff. We can just do pot luck for the food.
Looks like I've got four moms confirmed so far, so anyone else that's up for it, drop me an email so that we can figure out dates and times.
I think I live close enough :)
As long as no one judges me if I have to give my baby FORMULA from a BOTTLE.
We've had issues and theLactivist will stick up for me.
Judy, you have my word that I will pummel anyone who gives you grief. (or...anyone that gives any mom there grief for her feeding choices really,)
I'm starting to get emails folks. Hop on board, this could be really fun. :)
Sounds like fun. I would have totally come. But Boston is a little too far away.
ooo, sounds like fun! I live in Columbus - I read your blogs everyday!
7 hours is too big a drive for me... I wish I were closer.
